A Chilly Winter Photo shoot | Sacred Mountain

When you think of San Diego, you probably think of perfect, sunny weather. For the most part, you’d be correct. However, we do have our share of chilly winter days. It’s always nice to shoot on days when its cloudy and cold because it looks mysterious and different.

In January, I was fortunate to participate in a photoshoot at the Sacred Mountain in Julian. I love to visit Julian because its so beautiful and quiet up there. On this day, due to the rain and low clouds, the drive took a little longer but its always nice to get out of the city. It was in the afternoon, when we started shooting. It was windy and drizzly but inside the cabin, it was warm and toasty. We were able to get some beautiful pictures of our beautiful bride, Christy. Next, we had a sweet first look. Its nice when thinking of venues, to have options for different parts of the day. At the Sacred Mountain, there is a lower pad that overlooked a beautiful valley that made the perfect spot for the first look.

After the first look, we walked to the ceremony spot. This clearing is absolutely to die for. The views are one of a kind and on a clear day you can see for miles.
